Mirai Nikki(Future Diary) centers on Yukiteru "Yuki" Amano, a lonely, shy high school student who meticulously records his daily life on his cell phone. His life changes dramatically when his imaginary friend, Deus Ex Machina—the god of time and space—transforms his diary into a “Future Diary” that can predict events up to ninety days in advance. Yuki soon discovers that he is not alone: eleven other people have also received such a diary, each with unique predictive powers. They are forced to participate in a deadly game: the last person standing becomes the new god of time and space.
Yuki finds himself in a heart-pounding battle to the death, protected (and sometimes threatened) by his obsessive classmate Yuno Gasai, who will do anything for him. As the participants hunt each other down and form or betray alliances, dark secrets are revealed—particularly about Yuno’s past and true motives. The series combines suspense, psychological drama, and twists and turns, exploring themes of trust, survival, and the fine line between love and madness.
