Steins;Gaterevolves around Rintaro Okabe, an eccentric “mad scientist” who, together with his friends in Akihabara, accidentally discovers how to send messages to the past using a self-built time machine. Their experiments seem innocent enough, but soon cause major changes in the present, entangling Okabe in dangerous plots and attracting the attention of the mysterious organization SERN. When his loved ones are put in danger, Okabe must travel back in time again and again to prevent disaster—but each attempt brings new sacrifices and difficult choices. Ultimately, it all comes down to finding a worldline that will allow him to save both his friends and the world, without losing everything he holds dear.
