Lycoris Recoil -In a seemingly peaceful and safe Tokyo, a dark secret lurks: the peace is guarded by a secret organization, Direct Attack (DA), which trains orphaned girls to become Lycoris—young female secret agents who wear school uniforms to quietly take out criminals and prevent terrorist threats. Takina Inoue, a highly skilled but strict Lycoris, is transferred to LycoReco, a seemingly ordinary café that serves as a front for local missions, after an incident. There, she is paired with Chisato Nishikigi, a legendary Lycoris known for her cheerful nature and unique, non-violent approach.
While Takina initially wants to get back to her old team, Chisato teaches her that there is more to life than duty and perfection. Together, they take on a variety of assignments, from protecting civilians to fighting dangerous criminals, while becoming increasingly involved in larger conspiracies that challenge the system behind the Lycoris. Combining fast-paced action, humor, and warm slice-of-life moments, the series centers on the growing friendship between the two polar opposites, their personal quest for freedom, and the moral dilemmas of their secret work.
