Gintama is set in a special Edo era, where aliens have taken over. The main character, Gintoki, is a samurai who can no longer really live as a samurai, but still tries to find his own way. Together with his friends Kagura and Shinpachi, he runs a small company where they take on all kinds of crazy jobs.
The series is known for its humor and the large number of funny characters. Each episode brings new, often absurd situations, but sometimes there are also serious and exciting moments. Gintama is a mix of action, friendship and above all a lot of fun.
