Spice and Wolffollows the traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence, who one night meets the clever and mischievous wolf goddess Holo. Holo takes the form of a young girl with wolf ears and a wolf tail, and asks Lawrence to help her return to her homeland in the north. Together they travel from city to city, engaging in trade, negotiations, and sometimes dangerous intrigue. Their bond grows throughout the journey, as they not only face economic challenges but also discover their feelings for each other.
