Hell Teacheris a supernatural horror-comedy in which an ostensibly ordinary teacher takes on ghosts, yokai, and other dark creatures to protect his students. His right hand harbors a demonic power, which he uses as a last resort when mere words, lessons, and empathy are not enough to stop evil.
The series alternates between playful school moments and creepy, sometimes quite intense horror, placing the emphasis on the bond between teacher and class: Nūbē strives not only to defeat monsters, but also to help his students deal with fear, trauma, and temptations from the spirit world. Hell Teacher combines retro horror vibes with warm, sometimes moving stories about growing up.
