About the series

Marriagetoxin follows Hikaru Gero, an experienced assassin from a family that has specialized in poisons for generations. When his family pressures him to produce an heir, his sister is at risk of being forced to take on that task. Hikaru therefore decides to get married himself, even though he has virtually no experience with romance or relationships. He receives help from Mei Kinosaki, a con artist who specializes in marriage fraud. Together, they try to help Hikaru find a suitable partner, while he simultaneously carries out dangerous missions and takes on other exceptional assassins. The result is a mix of spectacular fights, comical situations, and a surprisingly heartwarming story about love and family.
